![]() ![]() You can download the Twixtor demo and have the same functions - just a big X on the screen tells you it's a demo. Like I said, I'm back trying to tweak twixtor.Īnd, yeah, AE works for mac, too. My friend (the talent) didn't notice it even on viewing it a couple times. I did notice one area of the video frame was shaking up and down for a couple seconds. That said, I used the same settings Twixtor provides for their frame rate altering example (a short clip of a cat, changed from 30i to 24p) and worked very well. And Twixtor's documentation could be a lot better. ![]() So I'm back to tweaking the program - endless renders, etc. Saving as uncompressed fixed this, but i did waste a lot of time before realizing this. I was saving using HuffyUV and EVERYTHING i saved from After Effects was jittery. I messed around with Twixtor's setting and got really frustrated until I realized I'd never run the correct controls. The point for me was to see if it could be done. Somebody else usually picks up the distribution costs, including converting to film (in this case, including the added step of converting to 24p). And, although I do have enough memory for a 90 minute film on this PC, there's not much room to spare.īut that's really not the point. It takes a fast PC and gobs of memory to make it work. Either as uncompressed or as WMV, looks very very good.Īnyway, if people are worried about projecting the HD10u at 24p (for film or whatever), there's definitely a solution. Even more amazingly, that same clip saved in WMV is 0.5MB/sec and looks damn good (without the audio drops, obviously). Amazingly enough, Windows Media play 9 will play this clip, albeit some dropped audio (video plays perfectly). Then again, uncompressed audio+video ends up being about 85MB/sec. working at 24p in premiere bogs premiere down tremendously. I brought the 24p clip into premiere as uncompressed.
